Partnered Cultivation
Partnered Cultivation (双修) lets two married cultivators cultivate together. Sit and meditate beside your spouse and you each draw more Qi from the vein than either would alone — and your Yin-Yang balances pull toward one another as you sit. New in v0.6.0.
There is no command to start it. Sit down near your partner, both meditate, and it begins.
Requires the Marriage mod. Without Siren:Marriage installed there is nothing to define a partner, and the whole feature stays switched off no matter what the config says. Cultivation itself runs perfectly well without it.
Beginning a Session
Four conditions, all of which must hold:
| Condition | Notes |
|---|---|
| Married to each other | Read from the Marriage mod. Not "both married" — married to each other. |
| Both meditating | Either partner standing up ends the session. |
| Same world | A partner in another world is not sitting with you. |
Within Partner-Radius-Blocks | 8 blocks by default. |
When it takes, you are both told so. When it ends, the partner still seated is told — the one who stood up already knows.
Check where you stand with /cultivation partner. It reports which condition you are failing, so a session that will not start is never a mystery: not married, partner offline, different world, too far apart, or the feature disabled.
What It Does
More Qi. Each partner draws Partner-Qi-Multiplier times as much from the spirit vein while the session lasts — 1.25× by default.
That figure multiplies with everything else: the vein's own tier, weather resonance, a Qi-Gathering formation, your cave abode, and a Gatherer spirit beast. A couple sitting on a dragon vein inside their own abode compounds all of it, which is why the default multiplier is deliberately modest.
A steadier balance. Each partner's Yin-Yang balance drifts toward the other's while they sit. A cultivator who has leaned dangerously far toward Yin, sitting with a Yang-leaning spouse, is drawn back toward center — and away from the Heart-Devil Trial that a deep lean invites.
Neither partner shifts while their balances are already within Partner-Convergence-Deadzone-Percent of each other, so a settled couple does not oscillate. The pull also never overshoots: it closes the gap and stops rather than sending the pair swapping leans.
Your race's own Yin bias still applies, so a Yin-natured race resists being pulled toward Yang — it converges more slowly rather than not at all.
Settings
All in Society/PartnerConfig.json.
| Variable Name | Default Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
Partnered-Cultivation-Enabled | true | The whole feature. Inert anyway without the Marriage mod. |
Partner-Radius-Blocks | 8 | How close the two must sit. |
Partner-Qi-Multiplier | 1.25 | Qi multiplier for each partner. Compounds with every other multiplier. |
Partner-Unlock-Realm | BODY_REFINEMENT | Realm required to partner at all. No gate by default. |
Partner-Convergence-Enabled | true | Whether Yin-Yang balances converge. |
Partner-Convergence-Shift-Per-Tick | 0.2 | How hard each partner is pulled per tick. Matches the vein's own alignment shift. |
Partner-Convergence-Deadzone-Percent | 1 | Gap below which neither shifts. |
There is deliberately no gate by default. Partnered Cultivation is a reward for playing together rather than a milestone to earn, and gating it would only punish a couple who started at the same time.
